[Steve Jobs] The Exclusive Biography

오랜만에 마음에 와 닿는 몇몇 구절들을 보고 남긴다. 

 

Biography of Steve jobs

• Steve는 10년동안 차고에서 공부해서 애플을 차렸고, 경영진과의 불화로 애플에서 잘렸다.
• 애플에서 잘려서 방황하다가, 본인이 좋아하는 것에 집중해서 일해서 NeXT와 Pixar를 만들었다.
• 그리고 NeXT가 애플에 인수돼서 다시 애플로 가게 됐다. 
• 본인이 애플에서 잘리지 않았다면 결코 못했을거다. (방황하는 시간 속에서도 계속 본인이 진짜 본인이 원하는 것을 계속 고민하고 행동해서 NeXT와 Pixar가 있을 수 있었다. )

그 중 가장 마음에 와 닿았던 이야기는 세 번째 죽음에 관한 이야기이다.   

나도 언젠간 죽는다는 사실을 늘 명심해서  나의 inner voice에 주의 집중하고,

heart and intuition를 따르도록 노력해야겠다. 

 

Death: If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right
impression to him: since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself, If today were the last day of my life Would I want to do what I am about to do today.

 

And whenever the answer has been "No", I know I need to change something, Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life.

 

All fear of embarrassment or failure, these things just fall away in the face of death leaving only what is truly important.
Remembering that you are going to die is the best way i know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose
You are already naked There is no reason not to follow your heart.

 

 

No one wants to die, and yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it.
And that is as it should be. Because death is very likely the single best invention of Life

It is Life's change agent, it clears out the old to make way for the new. right now the new is you.
you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true

 

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma which is living with the results of other people's thinking.

Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. 
And the most important have the courage to follow your heart and intuition

They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. Stay hungry. Stay foolish.
